CAV enters the last round depending only on their own forces to advance to the state stage; Galo Azul will play the fourth and last state division in 2023
Votuporanguense beat Olímpia by 2-0, this Saturday afternoon, at the Maria Tereza Breda stadium, in Olímpia, for the 14th and penultimate round of the first phase of the A3 Series of the Paulista Championship .
At 25 minutes of the second half, Israel took advantage of the cross and played with the free goal to open the scoring for Votuporanguense. In the sequence, Olímpia wasted the penalty and the chance to draw. In the 39th minute, Vinícius Diniz scored and declared CAV’s victory away from home.
The victory left Votuporanguense with 19 points and in seventh place, within the group classified for the next phase. With just eight points, Olímpia was four points behind the first team outside the relegation zone and is relegated to the fourth division.
With no round in the middle of the week, the teams enter the field for the 15th and last round of the first phase next Saturday, in simultaneous games scheduled for 3 pm. Olímpia visits Nacional, at the Nicolau Alayon stadium, in São Paulo. Votuporanguense receives Rio Preto, at the Plínio Marin Arena, in Votuporanga.
